1. Oregano

Oregano is beneficial at lowering inflammatory markers due to its high level of the anti-inflammatory antioxidant, carvacrol. It is also used as a natural antimicrobial and anti-fungal in cases of Crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBS), and candida over growth.

2. Ginger

Ginger is used to soothe stomach problems due to its anti-inflammatory properties. In fact, research has shown that ginger can reduce bloating, gas, and indigestion  helps to alleviate heartburn and acid reflux as well as stimulate the production of stomach acid. 

5. Mint 

Mint promotes the digestive system by stimulating digestive enzymes. Mint oil has antiseptic and antibacterial properties to relieve indigestion, stomach infections, etc. It acts as an anti-spasmodic remedy due to the presence of methanol. 

4. Cumin

Cumin is a spice produced from a seed in the parsley family that has shown extremely promising anti-inflammatory capabilities due to its ability to significantly lower inflammatory pathways. 

5. Cinnamon

Cinnamon is high in two anti-inflammatory compounds - trans-cinnamaldehyde and p-cymene compounds. cinnamon increases gut barrier function as well as activate the anti-inflammatory in the gut.

6. Bay leaf

Organic compounds found in bay leaves are effective for settling an upset stomach and soothe irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The unique enzymes present in these leaves help facilitate efficient digestion and metabolism of complex proteins.

7. Fenne has been shown to help with digestion by reducing inflammation in the bowels and decreasing bacteria that cause gassiness. One study also showed that fennel oils could help relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

8. Marshmallow root 

This root supports the repair of a damaged gut lining by coating the stomach to protect it against increased inflammation. Research surrounding this root has connected its ability to fight inflammation to its antioxidative properties.

9. Burdock Root 

This root is a blood purifier. It helps to get rid of toxins leading to skin problems, digestive sluggishness or arthritic pains. It is anticeptic and anti inflammatory.
